I am a wife to a loving husband and a mother to a beautiful baby girl that was born at home earlier this year.  We love spending time together outside whether that be at the beach or in the mountains.

I first became fascinated with home birth when I was living in Peru.

I saw women giving birth in the their homes.  When it came to breastfeeding it was done anywhere and everywhere.  It made me see birth and motherhood as natural, healthy, empowering, and spiritual.  When I got back to the United States I applied for midwifery school and began working as a doula.  I wanted to help women in my community 1) have the option to have an out of hospital birth 2) trust their motherly intuition 3) avoid unnecessary medical interventions that affect bonding.  â€‹

I've been participating in birth since 2017 and have attended over 400 births at home, birth centers, and in hospital settings.  I graduated from the Midwives College of Utah with a Bachelors of Science in Midwifery.  I am also a member on the Wyoming State Board of Midwifery. I am trained as a doula through DONA, and also teach childbirth education.  I am certified in CPR, phlebotomy, and Neonatal Resuscitation.

Throughout pregnancy I really focus on incorporating holistic, midwifery care.  That includes nutritional tips, herbs, homeopathics, essential oils, supplements, and chiropractic care.

I have enjoyed learning from many great mentors while finishing school and setting up my own practice. I've attended births with Suzanne Smith, Melissa Mayo, Chris Miller, Liz Stika, Angie Blackett, Amy Olsen, Eliza Spears, Sarah Millington, Fara Bitter, Catherine Butler, and Shanlee Robertson.

Philosophy
Of Practice

  • Childbirth is usually natural process.  Childbirth is a spiritual experience.

  • A woman has the right to say what care she wants to receive throughout pregnancy, labor and the postpartum period.  And be treated with dignity and respect at all times.

  • A woman should give birth where she feels the most comfortable and safe.

  • As a midwife I will not provide any care that is against my own personal beliefs , or what I see as wrong.

Midwife, CPM

Birth is normal, not an illness. It is a right of passage and many women realize their greatness and strength as they experience this journey into motherhood, supported emotionally and physically, in a safe and peaceful environment.

I believe that every woman can find PEACE as she becomes educated, informed, and empowered to make choices about her health and the birth of her child.

When I prepared for the birth of my first baby, I became fascinated with natural birth and veraciously studied natural birth. Realizing this as part of my mission in life, I have continued to study all things surrounding birth and raising a healthy and well-educated family for the last 18 years. I subscribe to a comprehensive natural approach in life, incorporating whole foods, herbs, essential oils and homeopathic remedies whenever possible. Healthy diet, lifestyle choices and education help mothers to have healthy, happy pregnancies.

I became very passionate about birth work at a very young age.  Which influenced me to have my first baby at home back in 2018.  I learned how powerful my body is,  And how impactful  a good birth team and peaceful environment is during labor.

I have now had 2 great waterbirths in our home, and I continue to support women throughout their childbearing years.  Creating a village of empowered women one birth at a time.   I am a DONA trained doula. and CPR certified.

Rachel Wamsley

I am a born and raised northern Utah girl.  Birth worker, EMT, horse trainer, firefighter, and painter are just a few of the many hats I love to wear.

Growing up on a ranch I have always been familiar and comfortable with birth.  I see it as a natural process of life,   When I am not working you can find me riding my horses.  Being out in nature has a way of helping us connect with our inner selves and being in the moment.  Which is what birth is all about.

I am currently certified in advanced EMT, phlebotomy, CPR, and firefighting.

Marlee Dillree

As a mother I experienced birth in several different settings.  My first being a hospital birth with an epidural.  Followed by a natural birth in the hospital.  My third baby was born in a birth center.  And my fourth at home.  I absolutely loved having a home birth!

As a birth worker I love to connect with women in the community to share what I've learned through my professional and personal experiences with childbearing.  I believe all women have the right to birth without interruption, to know their options, and to receive unbiased care.  I am CPR certified.
