Prenatal Care

Normally clients will have 8-12 prenatal visits during their pregnancy and 1 complementary consultation before signing onto care.

During prenatal visits we often spend time discussing blood work, ultrasounds, nutrition, supplements, childbirth education courses, breastfeeding, exercise, newborn cares, and birth plans. By the time you go into labor we have established a great relationship of trust and confidence to have your home birth.

Diagnostic Testing

Throughout care we offer all routine blood work that is available for low risk pregnancy care.  Clients have the option to choose what they would like to have drawn or decline.  Lab results are posted to your online client chart where you can view them and have for your own personal record.

Water Birth

A birth pool will be provided for your homebirth at your request.  Many women find that it increases comfort and their ability to move while floating in water.  We also send home a box of supplies that will be used for your birth.

Postpartum &

Newborn Care

Within 72 hours a scheduled home visit will be made by the midwife.  She will assess your healing and the well-being of your newborn.  Normally clients meet 2-4 times after birth depending on client/newborn needs.

After birth the midwife is also available via text or call to answer any questions or concerns you may have in between visits.

Lactation Basic Support

Getting help with establishing breastfeeding at birth is made easier with knowledgeable birth workers offering support and insight.  All clients receive one on one time after birth with the midwife to assist with the first latch!  As well as resources to local lactation groups/specialists.
